What is Speak Out?

Speak Out is the country's only national not-for-profit organization that promotes progressive speakers and artists on campuses and in communities. Committed to social, political, cultural and economic justice, Speak Out encourages critical and imaginative thinking about domestic and international issues through artistic and educational forums nationwide.

Speak Out works with 200 speakers and artists who represent the breadth of social movements as well as critically-acclaimed exhibits and films which inform and empower young people to take action for positive social change.

StrateGenius is providing a link to their web site, allowing you to review their roster of speakers and artists.  Then contact Their office directly for more information on costs and availability or to schedule an event on your campus or in your community.

Speakers / Artists
Speak Out provides speakers and artists for campus and community events. We represent over 200 men and women who are shaping movements for social change and defining contemporary issues.

The Campaign
Speak Out's campaign, Action for Democratic Education, defends accessibility to higher education. We are working to uphold affirmative action and continued student financial aid programs - both essential if higher education is to be truly open to all.

Soapbox
Our electronic newsletter, Speak Out Soapbox (SOS), provides information on Speak Out speakers and artists making headlines, updates on new speakers and artists joining our roster, details on internship opportunities with Speak Out and news on current Speak Out projects.

NACA
Speak Out is active in the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA). At regional and national NACA conventions, we lead educational sessions, showcase our speakers and artists and contribute a progressive presence in the exhibit hall.

Tours
Speak Out organizes lecture and performance tours of outstanding speakers and artists from around the U.S. and abroad.

We hope this helps you as you create your professional development calendar or special events!
